Best on the day they arrive. In the fridge at +2 to +6 °C they hold up to 24 hours; at room temperature, about six. Keep the box away from strong-smelling food, because chocolate picks up odours fast.

I message you before I set off. If the door does not open, we either leave the box in a shaded spot you name and I send a photo, or I come back later the same day.

Yes — completely. Name the occasion, or describe any look you have in mind, and I match the box to it: the shade of the chocolate — dark, milk or white, or any colour on natural ingredients — the finish of each berry, the decorations. I decorate with fresh berries — sometimes raspberries and blueberries — chocolate details and little sweets. No two boxes leave my kitchen the same.

No, and I would rather say so: the card is printed and cut to the shape of the occasion on a cutting plotter. It looks better than my handwriting and it does not smudge.

Auckland only. Fresh strawberries in chocolate do not survive a courier overnight, so we drive them ourselves.

Yes. Name the date and the window and I confirm it in my reply. A run leaves when there are four or more addresses on it; your own outing is priced separately, and I tell you the figure before you pay.

Same day if you order by 10:00. The handmade boxes need seven days, because they are built from the ground up.

Strawberries, dark and milk chocolate, coloured cocoa butter, and whatever decoration you asked for. Contains milk and soy, both from the chocolate. Every ingredient list is printed on the allergens page; if you have a nut allergy, ask me and I will read you the current packaging.

Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on the site. Bank transfer if you prefer, and I send the details with the confirmation. Or cash when I hand the box over.

That is most of what I do. I message you, not the recipient, and you get the photo before it goes out.
